Duncan Barber is the vice president for Hunt Energy’s Global Security department. In this capacity, Duncan is responsible for executing Hunt Energy’s Global security strategy, maintaining a robust risk management and business continuity program in support of Hunt Energy’s global operations. He was formerly one of Hunt’s international security advisors, overseeing operations in Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
Before joining Hunt in 2009, Duncan worked for Control Risks, a specialist global risk consultancy, where he held roles in the Middle East providing consultancy to the humanitarian, extraction, and construction sectors, helping organisations build secure, compliant, and resilient operations.
He graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, United Kingdom, serving in the British Army for eight years, achieving the rank of Captain and earning a bachelor’s degree in leadership and management from the City and Guilds of London. He is a Certified Protection Professional, ASIS International and holds a NEBOSH Intl General Certificate in occupational health and safety.
